After 14 years, East Norriton's Minado Closes

Last week, East Norriton lost another one of its well-known restaurants. After 14 years Minado, located in Swede Square, closed its doors. A notice on the door thanked customers for their patronage over the years.

Minado was known for its seemingly endless options with food that was always well received. The sushi buffet always applied a twist to their selection and offered items not seen in most places.

In the end, the overall rating on Yelp was 3.5-stars. Reviews, of course, declined as they approached the end.

Minado also has faced stiff competition from, Yelp 4-star rated, Kabuto, located just across the street near Big Lots. If you are unfamiliar with Kabuto they offer a diverse menu of items, great happy hour pricing as well as unbeatable lunch specials. If you are sad at the loss of Minado, give Kabuto a try, you will not regret it.

This closure is one in a long list of business which have recently shuttered. Lots of vacant space in the area to welcome new additions, now we just have to figure out what those new additions will be.
