Suspect Sought After Shooting at Plymouth Township Wawa Injures 2, Police say

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - On September 26, 2021, at approximately 3:29AM, the Plymouth Township Police Department responded to the report of a shooting at the Wawa, located at 1300 East Ridge Pike, Plymouth Township. The initial investigation determined that numerous shots were fired during this incident and that two individuals were struck by gunfire. The two injured parties were located inside of the store and both were treated on scene by Plymouth Township Police Officers and medics from the Plymouth Community Ambulance. Both victims were later transported to Paoli Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Investigators are still attempting to determine if there was any relationship between the victims and the shooter prior to this incident.


The Plymouth Township Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Kyeem Sheirron Whitt, date of birth March 29, 1995, charging him with attempted murder. Kyeem Sheirron Whitt was last known to reside in the Borough of Norristown, Montgomery County. The warrant was signed by the Honorable District Justice Francis Bernhardt for Criminal Attempt at Homicide and related offenses.


The Plymouth Township Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, as well as the Whitemarsh, Conshohocken and Norristown Police Departments. The Plymouth Fire Company also responded and provided support during the investigation.
