PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - As excitement builds, teams are working hard to bring the new Colonial Middle School over the finish line. Crews are approaching the completion of construction and personal items are being moved into the new school that is expected to open on Monday, March 7, 2022. Students will complete one last arrival to the current Middle school building for a day of activities focused on the transition and when dismissal rolls around, the students will be dismissed from their new building.
Teachers have been moving into their new spaces, below are some pictures that were shared with us. As per the plan, the current building is to be demolished and the land will be repurposed into a parking lot and athletic fields over the coming months/year(s).
There are no official plans at this time, or at least none that have been communicated, to welcome the community as a whole to see the new building, but we have heard rumblings this will occur at some time in the future. Personally, I hope they do this as I would love to see it in person. This is an exciting time for our students and we wish them well in their new space, the countdown is on!
