Charlie's Pizzeria Owner Passes Away, Future of Shop Uncertain

Charlie's Pizzeria, located at 107 W. Germantown Pike, East Norriton in the Swede Square Shopping Center faces an unknown future after the passing of the owner John Jackson. John passed away on November 30, 2020, he was 67 years old.


According to his obituary, John was born in1953, in Cheyanne, Wyoming and in 1959, John’s father opened “Charlie’s Pizzeria”, The Pizzeria has been in its current location since 1963. Just before marrying his late wife, Gloria, John took over the family business and kept “Charlie’s Pizzeria” alive.

John was a very charitable and generous man, donating to youth sports and any charity supporting a serious cause. John will not only be remembered as the owner of “Charlie’s Pizzeria”, but as a man who genuinely cared about his customers and the quality of his work.


Regarding the future of the beloved “Charlie’s Pizzeria”, we tried to reach out to John's family but they have not responded to our attempts. The shop is sitting untouched as of the date of this article. According to their Facebook page, there is a re-opening in the works, but they are not ready to share details.


John will be greatly missed by the employees at “Charlie’s Pizzeria” and the greater community. We at plymouthnbeyond wish Mr. Jackson’s family well and hope to possibly hear from them in the future about the plans for “Charlie’s Pizzeria”.
