Today, Whitemarsh Township released an update for the seemingly neverending construction currently taking place on Stenton Ave., advising residents they expect the current "phase" to wrap up by month's end. The construction currently underway is a coordinated effort between PECO, Aqua and the Township, with the Township checking in regularly to ensure timely completion.
This phase of work includes the installation of left-turn lanes in both directions of travel on Stenton Ave. as well as a designated lane for right turns from Flourtown Road. While this phase was under construction they were also able to include significant stormwater improvements.
While residents should celebrate this completion, Michel Drossner, Whitemarsh Board of Supervisors, confirmed, pending PennDOT permits the next section to be worked on will be Joshua and Stenton, followed by Joshua and Flourtown.
