CONSHOHOCKEN, PA - There’s a new place in town for dogs to let out all of their pent-up energy and make new friends. From dog daycare to in-home pet sitting, Out of the Crate is a one-stop-shop for all your dog’s needs. Out of the Crate celebrated their Opening Day on January 25 th, 2021.
Located at 701 E. Elm Street, directly next to Sit Means Sit Dog Training, Out of the Crate offers a place for dogs to come socialize in a controlled, safe environment. In addition to their on-site dog daycare program, Out of the Crate offers a wide array of in-home services such as dog walking, mid-day potty breaks, vacation visits (pet sitting), and even a dog taxi for any dog transportation needs.
Co-founders Emily Lauziere and Michael Dougherty have three dogs of their own, who were the inspiration behind the operation. “We pride ourselves in being part of the next evolution of dog daycare by prioritizing safety in a fun, controlled play environment,” said Lauziere. Out of the Crate is known for their small playgroups. “Smaller playgroups allow for a much safer play environment. If you throw 30+ dogs in a yard together and a fight breaks out, that is never going to end well. At Out of the Crate, you will have peace-of-mind knowing your pup will never be in a group of more than 10 dogs and will be supervised 24/7 by our highly-trained staff. We really get to know each and every single one of our pups.” Lauziere commented.
The 3,000 square-foot facility is divided into different areas including a big dog playground, a small dog playground, an outdoor run, and a “naptime” room where the dogs rotate between for breaks. “At Out of the Crate, we believe rest time is just as important as playtime,” Lauziere mentioned. The facility also offers dog baths, nail trims, and ear cleanings as add-on services for their daycare dogs.
