PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - Chemical Road will be re-opened by the end of the year according to PennDOT officials. We reached out to them for an update and received this response "The goal is to open Chemical Road by the end of the year and construction is moving along at a rate that we hope this will happen."
I stopped in to take a look at the progress and there is an initial layer of blacktop now on the road. It is unclear if they are going to repave the rest of the area as well or only fix the area impacted by the sinkhole.
