This week Lafayette Hill lost a local restaurant when The General closed. The Restaurant opened in the summer of 2017 as a joint venture of Bob Devine and Nick Ciaffone. The General was originally positioned to have an affordable quality menu and it ends with a 4-star review rating on Yelp. Overall the food was highly rated and reviewers usually provided a nice review.
There is no word on the future of the historic building which has a rich history as General Lafayette Inn and more recently Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery. Anyone who still has a Gift card to The General can redeem it at From The Boot Lafayette Hill according to the staff at the restaurant.
