One Montgomery Plaza which is home to many Montgomery County departments closed on Wednesday (10/16) and will now remain closed through Thursday (10/17) due to a power outage.
According to a press release from the County, an electrical contractor is on site working to restore the power. No official cause has been publicly identified. Fire crews were onsite around noon on Wednesday as this situation developed.
The release states, "All offices in the building will be inaccessible to the public until power is restored, including the following offices that routinely receive visitors: Board of Assessment Appeals, County Commissioners, Court Care, Domestic Relations, Human Resources, Planning Commission, Recorder of Deeds, Register of Wills, Treasurer and Voter Services."
