BLUE BELL - Today IHop in Blue Bell suffered internal damage when a fire broke out around 2:00 pm. According to Management, as a result of the storm they suffered a loss of power followed by the fire. It is unknown at this time if the fire was caused by a lightning strike, although there was lightning associated with the passing storm. The fire originated in the HVAC system causing moderate damage to the internal structure. There were no obvious signs of damage to the exterior of the building.
We asked how curbside pickup and delivery were working out before the fire, management informed us sales were OK but sporadic. The location is currently closed until clean up can take place. As of our visit at 4:45p restoration service was still not onsite but employees were already hard at work cleaning up the debris. This IHop location was recently renovated in late 2019.
